October Get Together

This month, we're bringing together a wonderful children's author and an adventurous conservationist for a session full of imagination, wildlife, and giraffe fun!

Miss Bri, holds a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and spent ten years teaching preschool. Her love for animals and passion for working with children inspired her to write Having a Giraffe as a Classroom Pet. A heartwarming story about a kindergarten class that learns how to include an unexpected giraffe, in all of their daily adventures. Along the way, children discover fun facts about giraffes, practice teamwork, and learn to see the world from a completely different perspective. During our session, Miss Bri will read her book and share what inspired her to bring this lovable giraffe story to life.

Imogene MacMoffat is a restoration ecologist from New Zealand who specializes in invasive species and habitat. She currently works in Canada helping restore a forest in Guelph, Ontario. She spent a month volunteering at a giraffe conservancy in East Africa, where she was helping to protect endangered Rothschild's giraffes. She'll share her adventures, conservation work, and beautiful wildlife photography from her journey.

See you on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 at 11am EDT (Toronto/Canada)!
